              Fishing on Bognor Regis Beach

Fishing at Bognor Regis is among the most traditional pastimes. Recreational sea fishing from both the beach and the pier has consistently been very popular at Bognor Regis. Some of the species that can be caught at Bognor Regis include: Bass, bream, cod, codling, dabs, dogfish, dover sole, flounders, gurnard, mackerel, mullet, plaice, pouting, sole, smooth hounds, whiting, and wrasse. Fishing from the pier The pier is under private ownership; however, the proprietors permit fishing from it. The optimal location is at the end of the pier, particularly when the tide is in. The ideal times for fishing on the pier are two hours before and after high tide.
