D-Day Beacon Lighting 80th Anniversary
On Thursday 6th June the Beacon Brazier will be lit as part of the national beacon lightings to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the D-Day landings.
Opening the event at 20:30 is A Salute To Vera Lynn, one of the country's most experienced Vera Lynn tributes, endorsed by Dame Vera Lynn.
The Beacon will be lit at 21:15 by the Town Mayor and Town Crier, accompanied by lone Scottish Bagpiper, Piper Mckay.
